Just 3 weeks away to the UAC's INTBD Rally which will be based in Moira this year but still overseen by Ronnie "Santa" Mitchell and assisted by his usual team of elves. The change of start venue means there will be a number of new tests, among the 30 planned for the day, to challenge both crew members......and help burn off some of the excess that has been added from the Christmas festivities.

As with recent rule upheaveals for Lanes Rallys/Targa Rallys/Trials in the North there will be a few changes to the event, classes will be as follows
Class 1 Expert : Cars registered on or before 31st December 1981
Class 2 Novice : Cars registered on or before 31st December 1981
Class 3 Expert : Cars registered after 31st December 1981
Class 4 Novice : Cars registered after 31st December 1981

Full details of all this can be found in the event regulations HERE

Onlin entry is HERE

And since it's Christmas the UAC have announced they will pay the insurance premiums for drivers under 20
* You’ll see on Page 11 of the SRs that there may be an insurance loading for drivers who are under 20. The Organising Team will pay any insurance loading you may incur due to your young age when applying to use the blanket agreement. You will still need to let the Secretary know that you are under 20 so that the insurance company can calculate your loading, but we will then pay that age-related loading for you.

* For those under 18, the Event will pay your UAC Membership fee if you need to join the Club to compete.

So don't hang around get the entries sent in asap

Update:

The UAC is pleased to announce that our festive event has a new sponsor making it the:
It's Not The FLATRIGHT Boxing Day Rally!

The rally is being sponsored by FLATRIGHT Everyday Racewear! The organising team are very grateful to Dean Beckett's company for coming on board with the event and the opportunities this will bring.

"FLATRIGHT Everyday Racewear for discerning rally fans."

Couple of updates from COC Ronnie Mitchell

Morning folks here's a bit of a taster for INT?BR The first test is definitely the "Real Thing" as we're using one of the old Coca-Cola complexes, plenty of room & simple layout to ease you into the days Craic. Keep an eye on our Website & Facebook updates RIGHT through the weekend with some exciting announcements.

"It's not the Flatright Boxing Day Rally" Think it's time for another couple of tasters folks. 2nd test "Greenfield" all tarmac surface again plenty of room for tail out showboating & real easy to follow. Now into the 3rd test & again brand new for 2013 "Quarry Hill" Nearly 1/2 a mile of pure bliss its a cross between the Dakra Rally and a Roller Coaster on ice with buckets of room. If you don't come out of this one smiling from ear to ear you must be dead.

Today's taster - brought to you by Santa (Ronnie CoC). If there are any budding Ken Block's out there who would like to try out their Gymkhana skills, the test at Maghberry is where you want to be. With lots of sideways action on the test weaving in and out of The Hangar. Go on - unleash your inner Block and enter the Rally today!

Santa obviously had his Weetabix this morning. He's been out and about working on the event and has another taster about the It's Not The Flatright Boxing Day Rally for us - but he's obviously been on the French wine this afternoon...

Q. What's better than relaxing on the Champs Elysees enjoying a specialist coffee while watching the world go by?

A. It's taking time out at one of Ireland's top tourist attractions; relaxing in the Grandstand of Down Royal Race Course s'amuse bien avec un café delicieux from Vanilla Black Catering.

Both tests can be seen from the Grandstand so why not tell your groupies about the Down Royal so they can capture the moment.

Hot off the press!
If you're competing on this year's It's Not the Flatright Boxing Day Rally, you'll be able to relax afterwards at The Tannery and maybe get a great value rally meal. You'll also have the chance to win a pair of tyres with the ultimate grip complements of MODERN TYRE SERVICE. Only crews who stay for the prize-giving will be entered into the prize draw.
Stay tuned to find out about more prizes!

Another taster for "Its not the Flatright Boxing Day Rally" Around the same time when The Boxing Day Rally was first run, Mercedes dominated the Dundrod Tourist Trophy races with a trio of 300 SLRs over the finish line with 1st 2nd & 3rd place under their belt. Could the ever increasingly popular MX5s match this record, with names like Moss, Fangio & get this for a cool name Wolfgang Von Trips. Who will set the top 3 times on 27th when INTFBR tackles the paddocks at Dundrod.

Tonight's taster for It's Not the Flatright Boxing Day Rally takes you on a trip through the Lost World... old farm buildings which have been lying dormant for years and surfaces changing at every turn. Make sure you don't get caught out at the end where the final sting is waiting... Welcome To Jurassic Park!
