Having conferred with Il Duce, Joe, it has been decided that the Event is sufficiently informal not to warrant an entry form. As regards maps - these are readily available. Suggested sources are: National Map Centre, Aungier Street; Easons; Halfords; 53 degrees north. For those outside the Pale, www.osi.ie may help. I will bring along the homemade Romers that we had at the Navigation Class and also a couple of 'real' ones of my own. These will only be required before you set out.

P.S. If you are determined to get your own Romer they are available from www.donbarrow.co.uk at 11.84 euro for two.

Romer |

From memory, 2007, Mitchells Motor Factors on Capel Street have Eric Hopkirk Romer's in stock if that's of any use to anyone.
Most Navigation events use these, and they are a little cheaper than the Don Barrow prices mentioned above.

We don't need many marshals but, if your car isn't ready, we would be delighted to avail of your services on the night.

In deference to the forecasters who predict continuing inclement weather, it has been decided to postpone the Night Navigation Treasure Hunt.
A new date (not the following Friday) will be fixed at the committee meeting which will convene on Thursday next (14th Jan).

It looks like the weather forecasters prediction was incorrect (again). Does that mean we're back in business for Friday?
